Have you got an electrician in anyway to sort out your lights?...can't see there being any problem ....if they are different fittings he might charge extra though but yeah he should be able to do it for you, thats his job!You may walk and you may run

the only issues i come across when fitting lights are:
Older wiring (pre 1965) may have no earth - class 1 lights (metal bodied) can't be fitted
Bits missing from lights straight out the box (especially the hook bits that go on ceiling- some shops sell these as an extra, but keep it a secret)
No lamps for fittings (I thought they were in the box is usually the reply)
You should use a competent person for the work, links below

Some light fittings I've bought don't wire in easily if at all onto a typical set of wires from the lighting main (ie loop in, loop out and switch = 3 sets of wires).
To this end I use a small 5 amp 4 terminal junction box and push this up into the ceiling. Then I can have only one cable (3 wires) coming out into the fitting. I prefer doing this to using those choc block connectors they sometimes include. An electrician should know what to do here anyway.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
Hi you've had some good advice but be very careful with bathroom lights. Bathrooms can be quite complex as a bathroom is now broken into "zones" dependant on how close to water the light will be so for example if you want spotlights over your shower this I think is zone 1 and they have to be of a certain type and this might be different to say spotlights that are not over your shower which might be zone 2 etc.

I don't know what you want in your bathroom but just picking up a light that says "suitable for bathrooms" is not necessarily going to be suitable so seek advice from the lighting store as to where you want to position it.
In my experience, electricians have charged me "per light" but if its spotlights they would charge more.0 -

If that store is called Focus - don't bother asking.
Unless your bathroom is huge, get an all zones light. It will cost you around £30 but IMO is well worth it. The quality tends to be better with these as well.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0
