Schengen Travel Insurance
Lots of useful info on your web site about travel insurance but have MSE looked into The Schengen Travel Insurance provided by say MondialCare.eu – WorldWide Travel Insurance or Axa Shengen
I have long term rented accommodation in Spain so cancellations etc I can cope with.
What I essentially need is medical cover so that I can see a doctor or be admitted to hospital and the prices quoted for a 50 day coverage at 59é by MC or even 117é by AXA are much cheaper than the single trip travel insurance from any UK travel insurance company that for 50 days run into hundreds of £s.
I actually have annual travel insurance but aged 75 can only remain covered for 35 days and am looking at cheapest way to cover the 15 days extra which is only available by usual travel insurance rules if in the UK on day coverage commences.
The Schengen Travel Insurance for the full 50 day period looks a better option. I appreciate not everyone has my flexibility in respect of having accommodation to fall back on if flight cancelled etc but for UK residents with accommodation in Spain, owned or rented, who only visit less than 6 months in a year, the Schengen Travel Insurance might be worth covering on your Travel Insurance site?
