Query on Fixed Rate Contract
I have a fixed rate contracts for gas and electrical with Octopus and the contract states the rates will be fixed for the duration of the contracts.
The rates on my account have been increased from the beginning of April but should they have remained the same as my original contract as I believed the contract to b a legl document and could not be changed without discussion. .

It's the unit rate and the standing charge that is fixed - if you've used more than you said when you took out the contract you need to pay more. Revisit what you told Octopus and see how that compares with what you have actually used.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

Are you absolutely certain of this? What is the name of your tariff?Davdkr252 said:I have a fixed rate contracts for gas and electrical with Octopus and the contract states the rates will be fixed for the duration of the contracts.I only ask because there are a few threads regarding the "Price Promise" tariffs which track the cap; some customers mistakenly think they are on a fixed tariff rather than a tracker.Threads:
