County Claim Form N1 - possible to pay less

Parking Charge Notice from 2019.
PCN claim is nearly £200 (£160 + 8% p.a. interest)
Court Fee £35
Legal Rep £50
£290 ish
I have read the threads on defences but as this car park is far away (its a motorway side services where i was awaiting delayed grandparents) collating the photo evidence is not an option. I don't think i have the time to go through the whole process to clear it so my question is - Can clear this claim by paying less? ie just the PCN. Has anyone tried this and been succesful?
Thanks

Have you read the Newbies thread ??
Do you have a letter from County Court Business Centre?
Which parking company and which site where you caught ?1 -
I have read the newbies thread but once you reach the stage of an N1 letter it seemed to exclusively focus on how to prepare a defence.
The letter is from County Court Business Centre - Nottinghamshire.
PCN is from UK Parking Control
Site is McDonalds, Markham Moor, Retford.
I think we were there for near to an hour but maximum stay was 30 minutes.

On the balance of probabilities, the permitted maximum parking time in 2019 would have been 90 minutes.

You will almost certainly be paying nothing if you simply defend, as per the Template Defence Announcement.
No, you can't pay less. Don't try.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:

What is the Issue Date on your County Court Claim Form?
Have you filed an Acknowledgment of Service?
If so, upon what date did you do so?
Your MCOL Claim History will have the definitive answer to that.

In theory you could try and pay less by admitting *part* of the claim. So if this is the claim:PCN claim is nearly £200 (£160 + 8% p.a. interest)Then you could admit to, say:
Court Fee £35
Legal Rep £50
£290 ish
£100 for the pcn
£35 for the court fee
None of the £60 bolt on
None of the legal rep (no hearing)
None of the interest, which is usually, in any event calculated on the wrong principal sum
I say that because the element that is weakest and least likely to be allowed are the additional fees. Going to court on those elements alone has to be much less attractive for the claimant.
That does, of course, mean you're definitely in for c. £135 and may still need a hearing, which is why most choose to defend it all and why @Coupon-mad saysNo, you can't pay less. Don't try1
