Paying for flights with credit card

If I use my credit card to pay for flights and then pay the full balance back onto my card the next day, or when I get my first statement, will I still be covered for a 'chargeback or Section 75 claim should anything go wrong with the flight ?

Yes… why would you think it wouldn’t?0

Though you'd presumably be following the normal guide and have travel insurance in case the flight was problematic?
Chargeback is just going to cover the flight costs and while S75 does include some allowance for consequential losses, it doesn't replace travel insurance. If your plane was simply delayed for example, you'd face a fight to use chargeback or S75 if it did take place and I suspect you'd have a tough fight getting the CC company to pay for hotel stays etc0 -

Maybe I worded my query wrong ...
What I should have asked was --
If I pay for flights, or anything for that matter, by credit card and then pay the credit card off the next day (or a couple of days later) in full, is it still classed as a credit card payment ?0 -
Yes.
Don't forget to take the payment card to the airport when you travel - the airline has been known to ask to see it.1 -
PS make sure it hits your account before you pay it - don't jump the gun and send the payment and go into positive balance before the charge hits your account.0
