Will this trigger a Universal Credit claim?

I am going to be moving house, within the same council area and claiming SMI for the first time. I am currently on income related esa, pip, and child tax credit. I also receive housing benefit which I will be claiming also when I move (shared ownership.)
Will this move mean I am forced to claim universal credit? I would rather not as I would lose my transitional top up and receive less money.

Many thanks,

ps. If anyone has a link that I could see regarding this it would be very helpful.

Can I confirm that you are you receiving HB at the moment. This is the most important factor.
If you are, then your LA should process a HB claim for the new address, as you are not moving to a new LA.

It's possible a clerk at your LA may tell you that you have to claim UC - this is incorrect and you should dispute it. Shelter may be able to help with this. Also involve you local ward councillor, and document all contacts with the HB dept of your LA.
If you are not receiving HB, then for help with rental costs you would need to claim UC. If so, it's worth checking that you will be better off under UC. A UC claim will end your ESA and TC.
The only thing that would end your ESA & TC claim, is if you make a claim for UC.
A move to UC cannot triggered by anything else.
