I needed a mini whisk and some tongs (to get the toast out the toaster), I looked on Ebay and Amazon first, then I googled the exact same products and came across the sellers kitchen shop website who sell their goods on both Amazon and Ebay.  All 3 had different prices, of course I went for the cheaper option which was £4-45 including £1 postage from the sellers own website,  sellers price on Ebay was £7-45, their price on Amazon, you have to spend £20!

You don't have to spend £20 on Amazon.  That is the amount you have to spend to get free delivery.  Retailers can charge whatever they like on different platforms.
  • eBay will charge commission and Amazon will charge (a higher rate) of commission as well so this will often be factored into the price.

The min £20 spend on Amazon implies the orders are fulfilled by Amazon so shipping would be free with Prime.

I tend to find eBay is the cheapest, Amazon will be more expensive simply because there are more customers on Amazon who will pay because they've got Prime or simply go to Amazon as their first port of call and just buy rather than checking. The exception appears to be branded items sold by Amazon as they have the buying power or are happy to make a loss on some sales.

Websites can be hit and miss, some are cheaper due to the (possible) lower running costs, others are higher presumably because prices are more likely to be static where as marketplace prices fluctuate due to direct competition in the immediate space.

Of course common, cheap items may be found cheaper on the high street in pound shops or similar.

A mini whisk and tongs to remove toast? I understand the tongs bit, but what to you do with the whisk? (asking for a friend)
