Hi all not been on this board before. i brought e items from the same seller and waited for my invoice. got the combined invoice and i opted for 1st class as it was cheaper than parcel post and i would rather have the items quicker given the time of year. Anyway i have paid via paypal and this morning the seller is being really funny with me saying i paid the wrong postage ??? i paid what was on this invoice. he is asking for extra to cover the first class.... what do i do? he says that the postage amount on the combined invoice was just for the one item but the invoice has all 3 items combined. So i feel i have done right but he is asking for extra and sending me pay me with paypal things for extra. what do i do please.

You have done right, the seller has not checked the invoice he has sent you properly. He is not obliged to sell the goods so If you want them I would pay the extra or he will just refund you.0

The thing that annoys me about this type of query, the OP has paid what was requested and seller doesn't just say. Look I have cocked up here P+P will cost £x but since its my mistake I am quite happy to meet you half way (with lots of groveling thrown in) then I'm sure most buyers will say OK mo problem.
But from the few threads on here recently sellers seem to expect buyers to pick up the tab when they are under no obligation to do so.0 -
thanks for your words hintza.... if i were the seller i would not have dared to ask the buyer to cover my mistake.1. Tv2. Mobile phone3. Holiday/ break UK4. Ipad5. Cash or vouchers6. Toys7. Something for the kitchen8. beauty items/make up9. Hamper10. games console11. A huge unexpected suprise0

they just sent me this:
I'm not saying you've cheated, I'm saying Ebay have made an error. I didn't send the invoice, it's done automatically. You knew the postage prices when you ordered the goods so if you now don't want to pay them I won't be able to send your items.

i thought that the seller sends combined invoices? i had no idea what the combined postage would be...1. Tv2. Mobile phone3. Holiday/ break UK4. Ipad5. Cash or vouchers6. Toys7. Something for the kitchen8. beauty items/make up9. Hamper10. games console11. A huge unexpected suprise0 -
Ok, could you give us a bit more info, to see what kind of figures we're talking about?
Stated 1st class postage on the listings? (each one)
Stated parcelforce price on the listings? (each)
Postage info and price(s) from invoice? My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
are they not agreeing to a postage discount, is that what it is ?
or are they asking for more money for postage above the total combined listed postage price ?
If you bought multiple items then ebay or the seller doesnt have to send you an invoice, you can pay them all together in one payment, the seller only needs to send you an invoice if they are giving you a discount/charge that is not already stated in their listing.0 -

Sorry to hijack the thread, just a quick question, i want to buy 2 things of a seller, one thing is 3.99 postage and another item has postage of 9.99. He lets you use multiple postage and for every second item you pay 2.99. If i buy the 3.99 first and then the 9.99 would the 9.99 go down to 2.99. or will it not make a difference. whats the best way to go around doing this. thanksIf people cant help people on these threads, then they should rather not say anything then say something which isnt any use to the person who needs help0

i very much doubt the seller will drop postage from 9.99
as always email the seller 1st to confirm if you would be unhappy paying £9.99+£2.990
