This is just a suggestion as I haven't booked anything yet. Now that PCR's aren't available/required for most of us, I am thinking that it would be better not to report any positive LTF to the NHS if I were due to go on holiday in the next 10 days to 2 weeks. If I didn't report it, my ability to view the vaccination/booster certificates on the app wouldn't disappear. I could just test myself after 5/6 days and then go ahead on the trip if negative. I wouldn't have the stress of waiting for the Recovery certificate & my proof of vaccinations to become available again.
My certificates did disappear from the app for about 2 weeks from when I reported my positive test even though I didn't test positive until day 5. I do still have a small stock of tests.

I don't think many people would have an issue with that as you are only trying to avoid unnecessary beaurecracy.
most people I know are making efforts to keep away from people for 2 weeks before.
not possible or easy for everyone, but if you can work from home and avoid social gatherings for 2 weeks then it may be worth it.0 -
I can tell you categorically that the certificates no longer disappear. I don't know when the change was made, it maybe recent, but I have been checking daily and mine are ever present. I have had an NHS PCR and reported positive LFTs. Also, even if the passes did disappear, they were always visible in your Apple wallet or wherever other devices download them to. It was only the app that removed them.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. There is no legal requirement to report a positive test in the UK, and I don't believe there ever has been (but there has been a legal requirement to self-isolate in the past if you've had a positive test).
As long as you're not planning to travel to France or somewhere similar, where you must sign a sworn statement to the effect of you haven't had Covid and haven't knowingly been in contact with someone who has, you should be ok.💙💛 💔0
