Smart meter since 1.4.22

I had my first smart meter fitted a few months ago and, having seen the standing charge and unit price of my energy increase this month, I was expecting my smart meter to know that this had happened.
It doesn’t just yet however - is that because it perhaps takes a little while for the information to feed the through whenever there is a rate change?
id try asking the energy provider but there website says they are inundated at the moment!
I’d be grateful to hear other people’s experiences on this. Thanks

It may take some time to update the prices on the smart meter, but that does not affect your bill, that will already be using the correct prices.1

The prices on the smart meter are just for your information and used by your IHD.
Only the KWh are transferred to your supplier and the valid rates in their system are used to calculate your bill.
