EON Tariff options

The main option is the SVR, which you will default onto, that is likely the cheapest tariff by some way.diyobi said:So our fixed rate runs out end of this month - gutted!
Looks like the only option available v13 - £190 a month, looks decent and at least fixed to next April.
Whether someone else is on it or not is irrelevant. What you need to do is take your estimated usage (available from your last bill) and run the figures on the SVR at the current rate and with the estimated rise in October (c30%) then run the numbers on the fixed tariff you have been offered. With those numbers and your own appetite for risk you can decide if you would rather take the SVR which will likely be lower, but carries a risk of rising, or the fixed tariff which will be higher, but will probably cost you more.diyobi said:Anyone else on this tariff?2 -
Just checked my EON Next Flex details. My Bills have gone up 100% for kwh and 400% for Standing charge. According to U switch they can't find better. I'm actually thinking of telling them to turn off my Gas. Absolute Robbery. I can't understand why we aren't rioting about thisdiyobi said:So our fixed rate runs out end of this month - gutted!

The V13 12-month fixed rate is one of the better ones currently on offer. There's a moderate chance it will turn out cheaper than a capped variable tariff over the duration.diyobi said:

What do you think rioting would achieve, exactly? Would you rather pay your energy bill through general taxation? Or are you hoping other people will pay your energy bill for you, via their general taxation?N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Excellent pointers, thank you all and ran through some sums tonight. Definitely taking a gamble on the v13, best on the market so far.0

I expected prices to go up a bit but this is just insane how on earth are people expected to pay for these rises?Blessed are the geeks, for they shall inherit the Internet.0
