Land Registry - "Application lodged"

I'm signed up to receive alerts from Land Registry and have received an email to say Barclays have lodged an application.
I am expecting them to 'unregister' their interest as I have just paid off my mortgage with them.
is it likely that that 'application lodged' means 'lodged an application to have their link to the property removed'?
Just asking here in case anyone knows for sure - to save me the agony of trying to phone a Government Dept.

Yes, an application lodged means that someone has applied for something at the Land Registry on your title. Since you are expecting Barclays to remove their charge over the property, this is highly likely to be it.1

It seems improbable for it to be anything other than their application to discharge their security. So nothing to worry about.1

Thanks both - awful phone call avoided.0
