2for1 deals for Merlin resorts - fake deal?

I'm looking to book on 14th April for Legoland. On the direct Legoland site it's £37 (screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/fmZFZuE.png ) and on the 2for1 Merlin site it's £62 (screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/7gx51Rw.png ).

So, in reality the 2for1 deal is not a deal at all. If I've got something wrong, please let me know - otherwise I'm pretty unhappy with the smoke and mirrors.

£62 is the on-the-day gate price. Turn up on at the ticket booth and you will be charged that price.

Its clear when booking the online price that is discounted from the £62 as well.

Because that is the deal being offered with the voucher, 2for1 based on full price.

The terms for the Kelloggs deal state
"THE OFFER: Free Adult Ticket offer entitles the promotional pack holder to one free Adult entry ticket with the purchase of one full “On The Day”* priced Child or Adult ticket until 30th June 2023 at selected Merlin Entertainments Attractions. Some exclusion dates apply across selected attractions – check full T&Cs for details."

So thats one free ticket with the purchase of one full on the day priced ticket.
