Wrong gas meter!

Hi, long story short the gas meter which was marked up with my apartments number isn't actually mine! I found this out on a recent gas safety check taken out by my landlord,
I've contacted my energy company and I'm still waiting for a response, am I liable for any discrepancies from the old to the correct meter ?

No costs to you but trying to prove what your bills should be will be a challenge.
How many wrong meters are involved ?
One really for the LL to sort - he/she needs to find out the suppliers involved and contact them all.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
