Just coming back to report, I didn't book in advance, went on to short car park stay (well marked and easy to find, very straightforward, fast to get in, no queues or so), there was no problem to find a space to park and the prices were as advertised on the photos earlier. I paid £5 for pick up (up to 30 minutes) and £8 for drop off (up to 1 hour). Nowhere near the crazy quotes I was given when I tried to pre-book.
