Can anyone give me advice regarding Credit that I had with Orbit Energy.
I switched energy provider on 1/10/2021 from Orbit Energy to Sainsbury Energy (eon next).
I received a final bill from Orbit Energy on 16/10/2021 showing £510.09 in credit. It said that a refund would be made within 10 days.
I am still waiting for a refund.

Orbit Energy went bust in November. Their customers and responsibility for credit balances like your was transferred to Scottish Power, as what is termed the Supplier of Last Resort.

You need to contact Scottish Power to resolve this.

Orbit Energy customers have been moved to Scottish Power, so they will be responsible for the refund.

I had no idea that I would have to contact Scottish Power.
This is the response that I received from them:

I can understand that you are looking

for the credit balance transfer. We can

assure you that we are working with

the administrators for the credit to be

transferred over to us post which we

will refund the credit via cheque. As

soon as we receive the credit we will

notify you about the same

They also told me:

We have started receiving credit for

the other customers hence you can

expect it to be refunded within next

few weeks

I will update when I receive my refund.
