I have already obtained some information on a previous post of mine
I want to invest £175k in some kind of Global Tracker
I have no knowledge of this kind of investment and would want something that is mid risk and regularly updated by the provider
Please provide info for standard and ESG based trackers
I have already arranged my pension
Please provide
Sources for such investments
Does investment provider assist in selection of funds going forwards
Relative risk for such investment
How many different funds would I need
Is the investment protected
But want to repost under a new heading as above to fine tune my queries

You can view trackers here
https://www.hl.co.uk/funds/help-choosing-funds/shortlists/established-trackers
If you buy a tracker as DIY purchase then there is no provider assistance in selection of funds going forward, it sounds like you want an advised option if that's the case.
All of the other info you want is on the fund factsheet.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
How would you feel if your £175k became £130k in a downturn?0

These statements strongly indicate that you would be much better paying for some professional financial advice .
Please provide info for standard and ESG based trackers

As you know already I have explored the option you suggestand continue to explore other optionsThere are a few on here that do give useful infoOnce I hear from them I will be able to form a better idea on the way forward
On a personal note I like many others find this whole matter very stressful and would appreciate either non judgemental advice.
I do not need a telling off1 -
Like many other forumites, I am much more willing to help people who show that they have made a bit of effort to do their own research.
There's lots of information online to get you started. The Monevator website might be a good place to start.
Perhaps spend an hour or two doing a bit of research, and then post back here with the funds you think might be suitable; a bit more information about your personal circumstances; and any specific questions you still have? That will likely get a more helpful response from the forum.

A global tracker (as in global equity) is high risk. Not medium risk.
What is your ESG criteria? you are pretty much limiting yourself to a handful of options now.Does investment provider assist in selection of funds going forwards
No. That is what an adviser does. Not a provider.
It depends on what investment strategy you are following. Is the investment protected
It depends on the investments you use and what things you are looking to protect against.I think I need the advised option
You have posted a lot of threads recently on the same subject but you don't seem to be getting anywhere with it. You need to start firming up what your objectives are and decide if you want to DIY or use an adviser. If you DIY, then that means learning about it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.7 -

Global trackers are all pretty much the same. The HSBC All-World Index Fund is one of the cheapest and is as good as any.
ESG global trackers are the same as ordinary global trackers, except that they omit companies that do not meet their ESG criteria (e.g. by brewing beer).
Investing in the stock market is risky. You can lose most or all of your money.1 -
What do you want to track? You say "Global Tracker" and I suspect you mean "global equity tracker" which is a great way of getting general equity exposure at low cost, but there are global trackers for other asset types as well, including bonds, commodities and pretty much everything else. The JustETF.com website provides good information, but you need to know what you are looking for.
As an example of some mainstream trackers, you could browse Vanguard's website (vanguard.co.uk). But I suggest you either find an independent financial advisor or invest some serious time in learning more. There's lots of good information out there, but there's a lot to learn, quite a bit of disinformation and a fair bit of rubbish. You're not going to get a complete potted view of everything you might need to know in an answer to a posting on a forum like this, though I've found it valuable as one of many learning tools. The Youtube videos produced by Pensioncraft are a great resource as well.1
