Aqua cancelling card before replacement arrives

I applied for one of the Aqua reward credit cards when tandem exited the credit card market in early 2019.
I logged into the Aqua app yesterday to check my statement and noticed that I didn’t appear to have an active card with Aqua anymore, and the app was expecting me to activate a new card.
I called Aqua customer services and they told me that they had issued me a replacement card as my current card was due to expire in three months. They couldn’t work out why my existing card been cancelled before the new card arrived and why they hadn’t informed me that my previous card been cancelled. I’ve raised a complaint with Aqua and wondered if anybody else has had a similar problem with them in the past?

Probably. Admin errors happen from time to time, or your card may have been compromised.
It doesn't particularly matter which one is is.0
