Hi
i wonder if anyone can be of assistance. Paid for a parking spot with PayByPhone to take my kids out. In the midst of getting the kids settled. I accidentally paid for my old car instead of my present car on my app. I didn’t go over my time or anything but I didn’t realise until I came and saw the ticket and checked what I actually put. I do want to challenge this as I have all the evidence to show it was an innocent mistake but wanted to know if a similar situation has happened to others
Thank you

Have you read the sticky thread for NEWBIES yet? This will tell you precisely what to do if you get a PCN.
Plan A will be to complain to the landowner. It should not be possible to pay for a vehicle that is not in the car park, but that of course would mean parking companies would make less money, so they steadfastly refuse to amend their computer code to prevent it from happening.
What is the name of the PPC please? If it is a BPA member they should offer a reduced charge of £20 for making a major keying error.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Have you received a Parking Charge Notice, and if so, from which parking firm please? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes I have. The PCN is with Barking and Dagenham, they are not under BPAFruitcake said:Have you read the sticky thread for NEWBIES yet? This will tell you precisely what to do if you get a PCN.

Since this is a council parking notice you should take this over to pepipoo.com as they are experts in that field, whereas we specialise in charges from private parking companies here on MSE.
You will need to sigh up with a non-hotmail email address before reading the FAQs, then posting both sides of your redacted PCN with your query.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Register there but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering and post a new thread; here's your link:Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
