Following the issues with Safe Hands, I’ve discovered that Unique Funeral Plans are in the process of being struck off by Companies House for non filing of their accounts
also I have checked the FCA website which confirms that no application has been made for authorisation in July. The FCA states that unless applications are made by February, the application won’t be dealt with in time for the deadline which means the provider has to suspend trading until authorisation is granted.
i am wondering whether anyone has a view on this?

Their own website makes no mention of the impending changes either, I suspect their is a 99% chance they will go to the wall.0

Also just had an email back from Sterling Trust Corporation. They confirm they have never worked with unique so quite where they money is protected is anyones guess0
