the two months after I vacated the property and gave my notice and the end of my rolling contract period.Brie said:what 2 months are they after?0 -
Do you pay the CT to the council directly, does your LL include it in the rent, or does your LL invoice you for it separately?0

so you were there early in April and then left at some point. did you tell them when you were leaving? or just that you weren't renewing as of 15th June?
what you owe will depend on what you date you paid up to for tax and what date you actually left. there is currently about 3 months between your first post and today so if you didn't pay anything then it's possible that something is owed.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Based on comments on the first page and the legal examples it seemed pretty clear to me that as soon as I vacated the property the council tax liability fell to the landlord. I gave them all the required notices at the required timings and kept them updated along the way.Brie said:so you were there early in April and then left at some point. did you tell them when you were leaving? or just that you weren't renewing as of 15th June?

In which case you should settle your liability (if any) directly with the council. I'd also dispute the deduction with your deposit protection scheme.firsttimebuyer15 said:

It would fall to the landlord from the day following when you vacated. You haven't said when that was.firsttimebuyer15 said:
