Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Frosty cold start to the day, bright blue sky and sunshine though.
DH watching catchup tv, DS1 still in his pit, and I'm enjoying my first cuppa whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was indian from the SM, was enjoyed and no LO's.
Roast chicken for lunch, have just prepped everything and organised pack ups for tomorrow - so all sorted. We're going visiting the oldies this morning then home for lunch and lazy afternoon.
Back to work for me tomorrow although DH is on leave this next week, I'm on leave the following week.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks.
it's still early for a Sunday morning. I'm still under my duvet and have even turned on the electric blanket for a quick injection of heat. Outside there is frost.Today will be peaceful and restful unless something pops up. If the frost thaws and some sun appears I may venture into the garden. I've come across a bag of papers which need burning, they've been in the little barn for about five years now, hidden behind some other junk. If there's a little warmth outside I'll make a start on them.My thoughts are still with our poorlies and those who are sad, I hope for better days. 🌺 Happy Sunday to all.15 -
Morning all, Keep forgetting to come in here, my comments on MSE have been a bit minimal on a few threads recently
. I have been ill (sinus pain like never before, like someone inserting a hot poker up though my tooth into my cheek, worse than the tooth abscess pain a few years back!), and it left me a bit drained....anyway, much better now, thankfully! Hugs to the rest of you who are struggling or feeling poorly, hopefully times will get better soon! Not much planned today, went a 6.5 mile walk yesterday, then cleaned out wardrobe in preparation for trip away (really to stop me buying anything I don't need!), and DS did his too (he's outgrown most of his clothes), might think about packing but likely do that tomorrow (off on Tue early boat), and maybe a shorter walk. Wishing you all a pleasant day.

I will spend today washing and generally sorting out, the carpenter is here tomorrow to build the wardrobes in the front bedroom and i need to catch up with the roofers for a date for the plastering I shall also try to catch up with the thread
Hugs to all our poorlies ,anyone who is struggling right now with worries and all those caring for loved ones . Have a good day stay safe warm and dry xSlava Ukraini14 -

Mum has been moved now to a community hospital for more assessments and physio. Today I will sleep a lot watch Bridgeton and de-stress
Food wise I will have a freezer rummage and find some leftovers to have a roast with but for now a bacon and egg butty is on the menu.

Good morning, cold and very frosty outside. I managed to drag myself out for a walk yesterday 1.7 miles, into town via 1 route, picked up some sweet potatoes and some parsley and a reduced price French Lavender, home via longer route near the river and a quick mooch around garden centre to look at the herbs. Was good did not buy, but only because it was too far to carry them!!
Made and ate fish pie (me) and beef and lentil cottage pie (OH) then caught up with more railway journeys and Paul Merton sp? walking in Argyle, dozed and read my book.
OrkneyStar the pain sounds horrific, pleased you are feeling better, enjoy holiday.
Bella nice to see you back again, holiday sounds wonderful and well deserved.
No plans for today as yet, although I have found a recipe for GF Easter Biscuits from a source whose recipes normally turn out good, a lot of GF recipes really don't deserve tummy space.
Hugs and spoons as required, have the best day you can.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)14 -
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the good wishes, hopefully things will be fine and by the end of November we will have 4 grandbabies instead of 1.
Esben stopped being sick at 7pm last night and is now demanding that daddy takes him swimming, oh to bounce back like that!
There's not a lot happening here. We didn't do any gardening yesterday, just went round and looked at what needed to be done so maybe we will do that today.
Thinking of all the poorlies, I hope your journey to see your mum is better Nelski.
Have a good day.15 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. I'm sure the mornings are getting colder it was a very nippy start again today. Welcome back BELLA I think you will be feeling the cold more than us after your holiday!
I need to get my sewing machine out and dust it off later. We still have some of the same curtains up at the new to us static DD replaced all the bedroom ones last summer and I have been delegated to make new lounge and door ones! DD had a trip to the fent shop and managed to get a length of curtaining, exactly long enough! So no room for error by me!
I have a ys gammon joint on for lunch. DD managed to get me 3 reduced to the princely sum of 75p each!! I gave one to DS, put one in the freezer and the other is simmering away gently. I'll have it with cauliflower cheese (as they go so well together) carrots and peas. There will be plenty left to see me through the next few days and the stock will be used to make lentil and bacon soup.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and convalescing. NELS enjoy your much deserved day to yourself today. Thinking also of NRA, POPPY and anyone else in need. SCARLET I hope the NP was able to help you, are you feeling any better? Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

Morning all
Late one from me as I had a disturbed night and so got up late. Bright and sunny here but bitterly cold, I have stripped the beds this morning and got the bedding on a hot wash it can be hung out and should dry well today, it can be finished in the td if needs be.
Will get the dogs out for a good walk later and dinner tonight will be a prawn and salmon pasta dish with chilli and garlic, hopefully another month or so and we will be able to BBQ again.
Bella welcome back your holiday sounds wonderful xxx
Snoozer what lovely news I hope that both babies thrive and you get all of the babies come November xxxx
Nels enjoy your PJ day it is well deserved xxx
Have good days all xxx11 -
Morning all, I had a lovely day yesterday and got loads of little jobs done plus I filled the green waste bins, unfortunately that came to a screeching halt when our car got hit outside the house by the 4pm bus 😱 There was such a loud bang that we heard it in the kitchen at the back of the house. Lots of damage done to the drivers side back door, the rear panel, the alloy wheel and tyre is a write off and the back bumper was hanging off ! Still don't know why, or how he hit us as his side of the road was totally clear ( double yellows ) and we were parked in the middle of about 15 cars. Did the bus driver not like 4x4's or what ? Mind you if it had been a smaller car I dread to think what damage would have been done, probably totalled it. The driver, who wouldn't look amiss in a ZZ Top tribute band said he "drifted " 🤬 Poor Mr Fix It changed the wheel and got the bumper back on with the help of our over the road neighbour, and then spent and hour on the phone talking to the insurance company last night, then another hour talking to the car hire firm this morning who are arranging for our car to be repaired and a temporary replacement. Anyway not a lot of sleep was had by either of us so today I am doing nothing but TV watching and my jigsaw, haven't even taken anything out of the freezer for tea, maybe we'll have pizza and oven chips, something easy.
Bella glad you had a fab holiday, I'd forgotten you were away and I'd wondered where you were. I'm a bit miffed you didn't pack me in your suitcase though 😁
Nels enjoy your pj day.
Hope you all can have as good a day as possible. Hugs to anyone in need, I'm going to keep one for myself though if you don't mind.
Take care all
nan xx
