Quote received for supplying and installing about 77m of feather edge fence panels - garden goes up quite a steep hill so some of this is stepped up and involving non-standard widths - existing fencing is timber panels and posts so will include disposing of what's left of those.

£8000? Seems on high side, though we're having trouble getting people to respond at all (or they tell ust heir diaries are booked up for months). Any views? It's in South Wales if that makes a difference.

£104 per metre. Price the materials then see if is a fair quote.

£100 pm seems a bit steep but not too much . If they do a good job then I would pay that . if its cheaper type of materials and shabby work ( or just acceptable) then over priced . haggle them

When getting quotes for fencing, make sure that they use concrete posts & gravel boards. You'll be lucky if wooden posts last more than 10 years. Concrete will outlast you.
