Cracks to the brickwork

Good afternoon, I’m buying a house which the original conservatory polycarbonate roofing was replaced by composite plastic tile roof. The surveyor spotted vertical cracking to the brickwork where the rear extension / former conservatory abuts the main house and suggested the additional weight of the new roof covering may…

Just be aware digging a trial pit is very disruptive and depending on what they are exactly looking for can last a long time. We had one dug (25years ago) and it was there for over 6 months while they took soil samples ,root samples etc. This was nothing to do with a conservatory. It is also expensive and is normally done through the house building insurer.
