There is no logout option. If you just swipe up the app, it's closed and needs a new login if re-opened.chili1496 said:So i opened a chase account for the savings side of things and looking at their app i am struggling to see or find a log out option i use an iphone, has anyone else found a logout option in the app if so where?

On Android using the Back 'key' logs you out of the app (just in case an Android user had the same question).0

Or not if you have an up to date version of Android (not hacked about by a provider) where they dropped the back button some time ago. It works the same way as iOS. You just swipe out the app and you will need to login again to use it.northwalesd said:On Android using the Back 'key' logs you out of the app (just in case an Android user had the same question).0 -
Whilst not a log out option, if you do nothing for about 2 minutes there is a pop up saying you will logged out in 15 seconds whilst giving an option to log out or remain logged in.0

I have just seen what Chase UK say about logging out of the app.
Keep your banking app secure
When you exit our app, you'll be logged out automatically after 1 minute. Or you can log out instantly by viewing your recently used apps and swiping up on the Chase window. You can also help keep your banking apps secure by locking your phone once you're done.

As others have said, simply close the app.chili1496 said:So i opened a chase account for the savings side of things and looking at their app i am struggling to see or find a log out option i use an iphone, has anyone else found a logout option in the app if so where?

Which applies, in my experience, to every other banking app too. It's not unusual, and I assume is a sensible and deliberate built-in process. Even when there is a 'logout' option, closing the app does the same thing, but it's quicker (as you would probably be closing the app after logging out anyway).0 -
I know this is an old thread, but I just noticed that there is now a log out option.Daliah said:

Just click on the person icon in the top left of the home page and this gives a log out option.
Sorry if this has previously been mentioned.2 -

Does this mean my provider has hacked about with it?Edit: it looks like there is a configuration option that turns this on and off.3 -
The three buttons were removed to allow access to more of the screen. (I missed them for quite a while) However the functionality is still there, you just access it by gestures instead of having a physical button. A swipe from right to left is now the back button.masonic said:400ixl said:

As regards the original point, my daughter is a software engineer and says logout buttons on banking apps are unnecessary - they only put them in because people want them. That may be what Chase have done, if customer service are fielding a lot of calls about it, then they may have decided just to add one.1 -
Daliah did mention it - on the 2nd April! (Just scroll up to see the response).B0bbyEwing said:Well you'd think someone would have answered it by now.
Here, I'll tell you since nobody else has mentioned it - you swipe up & close the app, that logs you out.
One of you lot could've at least mentioned it.2
