Morning all, the sun is shining again but it's still very cold 😕 Come on spring !!
I didn't cross much off my list yesterday as I got a bit carried away as I started in the kitchen and never moved past that. I gave it 3/4 of a spring clean, the cooker got a thorough clean and even the window sill was cleared and washed, but I haven't done the windows yet. I also sorted through my spice rack and had to discard 3 jars of spices dated 2008/2012 😯 I moved some things around and I'm not sure that was the right thing to do, I'll live with it for a while and see. The builder still hasn't finished, silly me for thinking he would 🙄. He spent so much time getting a perfect finish on the walls that now he has to come back to throw some stones at it so as it matches the house walls. He could ice wedding cakes if he ever gave up the building trade !
Today I have a sm delivery coming, 2 items subbed, same items but medium bread for thick and a bigger pack of tuna, so that's ok. I shall clean out the cutlery drawer while I wait, it's full of food crumbs, likewise the toaster. I cleaned the fridge out yesterday and that was the same, where do they come from ? If I have any energy left I want to fill up the green waste bins again with the remnants of the hedge we cut down a while ago. Tea will be Lo curry and chips for himself and I'm having salmon with veg.
Sunflow3r sorry you came home with a cold, hope it goes quickly.
TA would that be a 1 Below shop ? We have one opened in town in the old M&S shop, it's huge but I haven't been in there yet.
Snoozer stop it ! 😂 I'm on the edge of my seat now too ! Hope it's a heck of a lot more good news than bad.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to the poorly ones and anyone struggling. Special hugs for Nels and Mum, NRA and Dad, RedRuby and family and dp1 with long covid.
Take care all

No Nan not 1 Below. It's not a chain store just a scaled down version of eg B & M or Home B selling all sorts of random stuff. And I didnt get in after all this morning! Maybe next week! X"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12

Gers - I'll have a look for some next time I'm in - thanks
The doctor said the same yesterday - I hope your long covid is quite short!
DD has just dropped me off some compost so I'm going to have a gentle potter in the sunshine after my lunch12 -
Poor Esben has been being sick all morning so any plans to see them this weekend have been nixed. We were also planning to go across to see Chris and Crystal this afternoon but she has had a cold this week so did an LFT which has come out positive so that's out as well.
I'll put you out of your misery - Laura is pregnant, very early days and at her scan yesterday (early because she has fertility treatment) the consultant told her it was twins but that the smaller twin may not survive, so mixed feelings here. This is all compounded by the fact that they are selling their house and the buyers are being awkward. They were going to move into Brian's old flat in London but instead they are coming to live with us for a few months until they can sell the flat (it's having cladding work done) and decide exactly where they want to live. There's a lot going on and all the plans may change in the next few weeks.

Oh Snoozer -that's certainly a mixed bag of news indeed. Congratulations and commiserations too, my fingers are tightly crossed for both twins to survive, it's such an emotional time for the family. You must be all up and down with it! And then Crystal testing positive too...I hope that she only has a mild dose. 🌹I've read that the norovirus is rife at the moment, usually it's a winter illness but has been suppressed until now by mask wearing and hand washing. Seems that hand sanitisers aren't effective against norovirus, only hand washing.Earlier I ventured out to buy bird feed from the country store - I encountered a group of visitors from across the Channel, all buying a large number of thermals, they must have thought that Scotland in early April would be warm. Even in good years it's not, best time is normally May and June.Bird feeders are now filled up, I'm watched my programme, been on cow herding duty and finished off the scanning. My new lentil soup was delicious though it'll be better once it's had an overnight rest and reheated.13

Hello all.
Charity coffee morning was good this morning, caught up with 2 relatives and a friend and had pleasant chats with some acquaintances, very yummy home made cake too. Quick nip into Sainsbugs on the way home for a few things which were needed, nothing treat wise today - we were both strong willed.
Thinking of going for a walk, a poorly ankle for a few days curtailed my exercise, but I really need plenty of weight bearing for my Osteoporosis. I think OH will listen to the radio or read and snooze he is pretty tired from the 4:30 get ups with DDawk.
Sun has gone in and feels chilly, gardening will have to wait a while, but I really need to be outside - my happy place.
Snoozer very mixed news indeed, positive thoughts for the wee babies. Thinking of NRA and DF, dp1, Nels and Mum, RedRuby DM, SIL and Nephew and all that are troubled or poorly. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)13 -
I've had a chat with DD and was told that a friend of ours has died suddenly, aged 60 😞. I've known her for about 25 years ( she gave DD her first Saturday job ) and she played a big part in our village, she worked in the newsagents and knew all the gossip. She will be greatly missed by all 🧡
Snoozer no wonder you were up and down like the busses, thank you for sharing. I hope all goes well for Laura, I really do. I hope Crystal is okay with the virus and Esben with the sickness too. I shall send healing vibes to the poorly and many hugs for Laura and you.
Gers The sickness bug and covid is sweeping through all our schools at the moment, there's loads of children off 🤢😷
Maddie how lovely to catch up with people at the coffee morning. Hope the ankle holds out for your walk.
TA thanks, I was just being nosey 😊

SNOOZER some good news and some not so good. I really do hope both twins thrive and that Esben and Crystal are soon feeling better. I didnt know there was a sickness bug doing the rounds, it must not have reached these parts - yet!
I got myself ensconced under my heated throw after lunch with book in hand and the next thing I knew it was over an hour later! I was so snug and cosy I dozed off!

Snoozer - I hope all goes well with the pregnancy.
Been to prayer breakfast at a local Church - yummy full English.
Went in Icelan.. - looking for cocktail sausage rolls - none there. I looked for some in Ald. and ended up getting them in Asd. I want the sausage rolls for cafe Church tomorrow.
