Cavity wall tie replacement

I’ve just had a survey on a house I want to buy and the report stated there are horizontal cracks at the front of the house and most likely due to wall tie corrosion and to get a cavity wall inspection. I’ve emailed for some quotes for an inspection but not yet had any replies.

Looked online and the results for cost for wall tie replacement are wide. Has anyone had cavity wall ties replaced recently? What was the cost?

I bought a bungalow last March, and had to have the wall cavity ties replaced at the front and the side.  It was £500 plus VAT. Took the men about three hours.

Thanks. That sounds quite promising. Initially, based on check a trade, I thought around £2,000 for three walls
