Simply put , why is my energy being doubled ?
firstly I don’t have gas , electricity only, and the company states 100% uk renewable energy .
i haven’t seen any ships transporting power to the uk,

Sadly, there are so many reasons why energy has gone up. Even though the UK doesn't consume so much from places like Russia, things like the war have complicated matters in the whole global market which has affected the unit rate, and as such the problems just run down the chain, energy suppliers sell energy at a loss, they shut down or go into administration, the cost of setting up the Supplier of Last Resort and so on are all added onto things like the standing charge.

As this snapshot shows, renewables are not a guaranteed source of energy. Note the amount of electricity that is being produced from gas and coal.
