International driver can't get temp car insurance?
A driver from abroad I know can't get temp car insurance in the UK, they passed their test in the UK years ago but don't hold a UK license but an international license. They phoned up loads of insurers and nobody would insure them, also they wouldn't add them to my mother's insurance as a named driver.

No suggestions I'm afraid.
But your friend doesn't have an "international" licence - there is no such thing. What he/she has is a "foreign" licence.0 -
Or a non-GB licence if you prefer0

I'd prefer "non-UK"! But "foreign" is just fine.lemondrops69 said:Or a non-GB licence if you prefer0 -

You might end up finding somewhere that is expensive so it may end up being better value to hire a small car which will come with insurance and get one of the excess insurance to cover the excess0
