UC underpayment

Could anyone please tell me how long it takes UC to process and pay an underpayment/back payment?
Debt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳

There's no timescales. First they need to recalculate your past statements to see exactly how much is owed. Once this is done you'll receive a letter on your journal telling you how much they owe you. You may also want to take screenshots of your existing statements because once they are recalculated they will replace the old ones.

Thanks @poppy12345, I wouldn’t of thought of that 😬 I was a few days too late reapplying for my sons DLA so there were 2 months without the carers and disabled child elements. They said a couple of weeks ago that I’d get the back payment for those 2 months as the dla was backdated, and now I’m really hoping it will come through this month so I can balance my budget 🤞🏻

Money owed is not paid in with your usual monthly payment. The advice i gave above is correct. Put a message on your journal under the payment section and ask about the money that's owed.

Thank you, I wasn’t doubting you, I meant I had assumed it would come as a separate statement. I’ll ask again on my jouranal :)

No, you won't receive a separate statement. They will recalculate them as advised.

Just an update, I finally got the back payment earlier this week. It was about £800. I had to ask for it 4 or 5 times. I’m so happy they paid it at last :)
