wifi extender repeater recommendation please

Following on from my other thread about router as repeater...

A purpose made extender would be neater as (if I were to use my spare router then) I would need to also purchase a powerline extender. A good location has been established that is a between mid point main router and the weak wifi area that would give good coverage at 2.4 and 5GHz. Router is connected fftc so connects at about 40Mb/s down. Given that and a need for low latency desire a good fast extender preferrably dual band so 5GHz can be used mostly.
Not ruling out power line extender but might be more problematic owing to need to use different electrical ring circuits.
Any recommendations please for an extender? Do not wish to go to the expense of a mesh.

Have been considering at about £25 the

TP-Link RE200 - Wireless AC750 Plug-In Network Range Extender (Ooops big text!!)

I recently (as in 7 weeks ago) bought this device (Amazon link). I used it to improve the WiFi coverage near my EV charge point. Does what I need it to do and was easy to setup (using the Tether app).

Reason for buying this one was the low cost and the mains passthrough. (It was £22.99 when I bought, so the £15.99 I currently see is a "steal"). :)

That is a good price and just the job for linking an EV charger, thanks Jenny.

Would prefer one with a 5GHz band too though and giving faster speed...hopefully lower latency goes hand in hand with that.

Might just get one personally at that price for EV use too as mine is only just in range so sometimes flakey!

    Cheers.

Notice on the recent Virgin thread a Netgear EX3700 mentioned and wonder if that would be a good buy compared to the TP-link one I mentioned above.
