EDF haven't changed my Direct Debit...

My fixed term ends tonight and so I move to variable tomorrow, at the same time as the new (painful) price cap comes into play. EDF sent me a bill a week or so ago but they haven't increased my direct debit at all. I have family, friends, and have read online that people have received new, higher bills for their forthcoming direct debit payments so I'm a little confused. I would switch to another fixed term but I'm inclined to see what happens over the next few months. Seems to be a rock and a hard place situation with knowing what to do for the best! I managed to submit a meter reading today so my bill may change, but if not should I just manually adjust my direct debit to pay more?

I think this is the first compliant that a DD has not been increasedSeriously though, take a look at your account and see if you have built up a balance after deducting the last bill?It may be that your balance is high enough that they did not see the need to increase the DD yet.Either way do keep an eye on your account balance and increase the payment if it is not covering your bill or if you want to build up a little buffer ready for next winter.1

EDF usually only do a direct debit review every 6 months, so if you are in between they will ignore the higher cost.1

You can of course increase the DD yourself

Oh no complaints from me! I just don't trust them to not slap me with something ridiculous, and in time for another price cap increase in Oct
My account was slightly in debit but that seems normal for the time of year. It feels like too much maths for my brain to work out what I could possibly increase it to to be on the safe side.... I'll keep an eye on it. Why is nothing straight forward with these lot? haha. Thanks all.
