Meter readings by 31st March 2022 - Energy sites "unavailable"

Hi, apologies if this has been covered already. I'm trying to submit gas meter readings to Shell Energy, but their website is "temporarily unavailable", possibly due to high traffic volume. Would a pic of the meter reading sent to them be valid? Has anyone done this and is it just sent to their help desk as an email attachment? Thanks in advance.

You can submit as a DM to their twitter account, include meter reads and account numberAmazon Bar Raiser1

Just take and send a reading tomorrow or the day after instead. Any difference really will be trivial, vs wondering if a reading in an e-mail will be see and applied correctly.3

British Gas,
I could still not enter my reading for 31st March 2022 today 4th April, but I did receive an email this morning to say my statement/bill was now ready. Went to online chat and could submit reading there but was given the following reasonsorry but as every one waited until 31.3.22 to summit read which were not need it crash all energy site.
I was requested by email to submit my meter reading as usual. Why are managers paid so much for incompetence?

I told family and friends that were on the variable tariff to submit meter readings on the 30th before the big rush and simply estimate and add their estimated usage for the 31st.Whilst it's technically fraud, you could take a reading today and state that you took it several days ago (f.e. on the 1st April) which will more than compensate you for the 1 day at a higher rate and will unlikely be questioned. Depends how bothered you are for something that will likely be a trivial amount.0

Just submit a mater reading now, and stop worrying about it.On your next bill they will estimate how many units were on the old price, and how many are on the new one. It won't be exact, but it will be pretty close. The slight difference could be in your favour, or against you - it's pot luck. But only pennies anyway. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
