Contents insurance for a PhD student.

Our daughter owns her flat and lives alone. The property is covered by a group policy for the while building, but she needs contents cover. At the moment she is with Endsleigh as she used to share with another student. This covers the furniture, but I arranged for her personal possessions to be covered by our contents policy as she was only at the flat in term time.

Now it is just her and she is spending more time there I thought she could get her own insurance for everything. Endsleigh are very expensive for this, but I am having trouble finding any other company that will actually cover a student.

I looked on the Karma site (is that the right name) but they do not seem to cater for students who own their flat, only ones who rent.

Any suggestions?
