UPDATE - keys found in his pocket but thank you 😬😬
it's a front entrance key and a door key to the flat (which he shares)
Who does he need to inform first? The rental is through an agent and it's a flat share

Are the keys anything special high security or can he just get a set cut from one of the other sharers? If they are not high security and the address is not identifiable from the keys then that would not be much of a security risk especially as he has no idea how many previous residents, trades, etc have had access to the keys.
If they are high security then he will need to contact the agent and they will need to contact the management Co and there will probably be a substantial bill which may include changing the locks.0 -
All the locks will need replacing as anyone could now have access. Two ways forward:1) Change the locks yourselves. Cheap and easy with a screwdriver (assuming you can open the door using other flatmates' keys!) See link below.Get sufficient new keys cut for all occupants plus the landord. Give landlord keys either immediately or at end of tenancy.2) contact LL/agent and ask him to do as above. It'll cost more!Of course,if it's a fancy lock you may have no choice but to go via the LL/agent.
