I have managed to get my hands on a few strawberry plants so I am going to put those into the bed and hopefully will have runners if I look after them properly and Ill be able to keep them contained to the bed. Although I will never turn down strawberries!Floss said:Sammy, Lidl & Aldi often sell 6-packs of plants. When I had my allotment I used those to stock my strawberry beds & they were great. Check the labels for different varieties to extend your season.Time to find me again2 -
You don't even have to look after them properly to get runners, strawberries can handle a lot of abuse and still produce well1

I sowed a load of seeds last year, they started flowering as winter hit.
I've also got plants which I got from a pound shop type shop and was given some by family. They're producing babies and I'm slowly filling up my strawberry plots.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1
