Before contacting Bulb, my energy supplier, I added the future % increase to my last year's Gas and Electricity consumption - my calculation and Bulbs were miles apart.
During the call, the Bulb representative used my years of consumption against the energy advised consumption based on the size of my property.
The outcome was the new calculation was lower than mine. Plus, I'm on a waiting list for a new smart meter display as the current ones are not updating software.
I thought perhaps my experience with Bulb would help you.

I'm with Bulb. Really don't know what to think of them. They kept £1000 of my money. I asked them to return it - tumbleweed. I'm glad now (I think) because my prices have doubled and I still have about £700 left to pay bills.

Bulb have back-dated energy price increases to December - can they do that ? I thought the increase was only from April!0

I have a love hate relationship with Bulb.
I have looked at switching in the past but keep getting told I am on a better deal.
Since Mid march 2022 my smart meter has stopped been smart and now have to submit monthly reading for bills whereas in the past the app updated every 30 minutes.
