No. It might be useful though. But bear in mind if your solicitor is also acting for your lender, they might need to share that information with the lender (or withdraw from acting from one/both of you).2

@canaldumidi - I didn’t want to but someone told me that you were obligated. I wasn’t convinced as I have never heard about it. Also, my solicitor knew we were getting a survey and never mentioned it.0
