Isolation help Scotland

My child tested positive by LFT and has to stay off school, therefore I am off work to look after him. I don’t get paid because I’m taking care of him and I am negative (if I was positive I’d get paid) I have had two vaccinations but no booster (please, no judgment) Anyway… NHS Scotland has informed me I MUST isolate for 10 days, work says I should do daily LFT and go in if negative, not taking account of my vaccine history and totally ignoring my childcare situation. The dilemma I’m having is, why won’t work pay me if I’m being made to stay at home by the Scottish guidelines and not through choice (although I’d always choose to be at home by my child’s side to take care of them)

Scottish Guidlines would allow you to work with the Booster. Hindsight and all that. Sorry.
To be honest you would be best catching Covid in your circumstances. Then isolation period is shorter !!!
Your work are wrong but of course may have a view on your vaccine status.
Childcare is certainly not a concern of your work.
You could take holidays.
Of course Chief Mammy may change the rules in the next hour or so.0 -
There are 2 problems here1. You cannot go into work because you, through choice I assume, failed to have a booster - your company therefore can choose whether they pay you or not.2. You cannot go into work because you need to look after your child, again your company do not need to pay you.You need to point out to your employer you CANNOT go into work due to the law and your vaccination status. Are you eligible for the Covid self isolation grant ?

What would happen if your child had some other illness and had to stay off school?
Would your employer pay you because you had to stay home to be with him?1 -
Is self isolation still a "must" by law in Scotland rather than "should" guidance?
.gov.scot seems to be using should and asked rather than must0 -
