Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air is cooler than it has been. Rain forecast for today.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was chicken breasts stuffed with cream cheese, wholegrain mustard and grated cheese wrapped in bacon, mash, veg and gravy.
Working today my half day at the other office.
Keep safe and well x

Morning all
Dry here but seems a lot cooler, I was back to work yesterday which was hard as lots of people came and said sorry etc about my nephew which made me cry quite a few times but it was nice to see everyone.
Back there today and one of my least favourite clients today which is never good funshe is very much hard work and tbh is quite nasty and a bit of a bully to the others so its always a trying day !
Fish fingers for dinner with chips and beans so nice and easy, dw has been emptied and I did a wash last night which has been on the airer in the lounge where the log burner is so should be dry by tonight.
I was sorry to hear about snoozers Steve I hope he is fully recovered xxx
Nels hope your mum is getting some support put in place, please look after yourself xxxx
Have good days al xxx14 -

Still, I'm up, and we'll visit 2 friends this morning with some shopping,Sorry to hear thngs are difficult Nels, Thinking of you.Hope everyone managea to have a reasonable day, take care folks.13

Morning All
It rained last night, first time for a couple of weeks but is dry so far this morning. Washing on the pulley, I've got used to putting it outside.
Well done going back to work Ruby, one of the hardest things to do is to face everyone.
Get well soon poorlies, you seem to have all the symptoms taff!
Hoping there's help for your DM Nelski.
Poor Mr Fixit, hope he's OK.
I felt rotten yesterday again so sent of a PCR, no result yet but I can go into work although I feel quite a bit better this morning, whatever it is is certainly hanging on. 3 days to go until the holidays!
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX13 -
Morning folks
After a lovely sunny day yesterday today is much duller. None of the forecasted snow though the air is very chilly.Yesterday I got stuck into the scanning, now I only have two things left to deal with. My DM semi-catalogued the letters which has helped me put them into order. It's still astounding that she, and her DM, kept all this stuff - letters from 1941 when she was 13 years old. I won't get it finished today but certainly by the end of the week.Today I have an Invigilators meeting to go to. There hasn't been school exams here for two years and I couldn't do anything in 2019 so it'll be strange to get back into it. The exams are spread over the whole of May, some of the team offer to take everything they can, I'll take what's left!Hugs to our poorlies and the sad. 🌺 Happy Wednesday to all.14 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Where's summer gone! The forecast is dire. It's cold and we can expect rain/sleet or snow most of the day (and maybe tomorrow)
I had a lovely meet up with DFF yesterday and she was feeling quite positive about her appt. Sadly it was worse news than she was expecting and she will have a rough few months in front of her. She was understandably quite down last night but she's just texted me to say she has her positive head on this morning and is ready to face what's ahead. She has good friends and a very supportive family around her which all helps.
Today should be bus trip day but in view of the rotten forecast we have booked for the carvery for a late lunch instead. Not much fun traipsing around in rain or snow! Just 2 of us today so we will vacate to the little bar and put everything to rights over a bottle of wine. As I have the morning at home some jobs may get done first!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and those slowly recovering from the virus. NELS I hope your DM is prepared to accept help. I know to my cost how hard it is when an elderly parent insists they can manage when it's actually us that's doing all the managing. Thinking of NRA, NELS, POPPY and MADDIE with her lovely poorly doggy. Take care one and all and be safe out there xx

Morning everyone and thanks for the thread nmlc.
Damp start here and we have sleet forecast for tomorrow. I won't be going into the office tomorrow as still don't feel 100%. Two lines on the LFT yesterday still, so will test again today. I haven't left the house (apart from the garden) for a week so getting very fidgety now.
I'm travelling to Scotland overnight on Friday from London to Glasgow, then onwards to Inverness on Saturday. DSis and I are walking the Great Glen Way followed by the West Highland Way, over a two week period. We are staying in bunkhouses and BnBs. This is part of our JoGLE expedition that we started last July but had to abandon after 3 weeks, because DSis sustained a foot injury and then DDad in Cyprus had health issues which meant I was out there for 5 weeks. I'm keeping a watchful eye on the weather and the first week looks damp and cold, but please don't let there be snow, as we will have to abandon again and lose all our accommodation costs
BG kindly sent me an email yesterday explaining my new payments from May - DD going up from £230 to £415 per month if their estimates are to be believed. Need to seriously look at what we are using and cut back, including DH boiling the kettle, walking off and coming back 5 minutes later and re-boiling. Grrrr!
Dinner tonight is prawn curry for DH and DS2 and I will have an A!di chicken saag which is less calorific. Still no taste or smell so I'm craving spicy food.
Hugs to Ruby, taff, poppy, Nelski and Mum, NRA and Dad, snoozer's Steve, Camelot and anyone else struggling with health or other issues. Sorry if I've missed anyone xx
Have a good day all

Morning all, raining here.I only got halfway up our road with DDog when she dug her considerable heels in and refused to walk any further so we turned round and just went on the wooded area across from the house :DShe doesn't like rain!Had a nice lunch out with friend yesterday, she brought me some magazines too. Life is quite difficult for her now with her mobility issues, it took her a while to get in & sat down. She gets so breathless but it was a change for her & she was pleased to chat to someone other than her son and medical people.I was very good and stuck to my diet, other than a cappuccinoCoxy my DH does that with the kettle too
, your walk sounds interesting.
TA sorry your friends news was not as good as she hoped xWell time for another cuppa ! Did my MrT order last night and managed to cut the cost a bit because I really need to make some space in my freezer and use some of it.Hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning..Fatty has brought in a mouse but I can't be bothered to take it off him, it' keeping him happy playing with it, and it's already dead. Still feeling quite rotten but shower on the cards and maybe even get dressed for a change. No plans today except find something to cook so I can play with the blender. Scarlet, yes, some food is definitely tasting weird and Coxy, I too am craving spicy stuff just to taste something. I might go for something involving coconut milk somewhere...When I ordered some Mexican food before they gaveme some freebie sweeties, which were like a sugary tamarind bar infused with chilli. They were very weird, but also very nice and I was using them up by putting them in curries. I have one left so that may find itself somewhere today...Nanny, I don't think I have but you win the Gold Cup for Clumsy this week with that story! Hope Mr Fixit is feeling less sore today and I'm booking you in for training sessions with Arnold next week...He will be back...:) Izzy, you know that the recent covid feels like a very heavy cold with added bonus effects? Like feeling wiped out, aches and pains and dizzy...Rosy, hoe nice for you, and for her! Have a good day if you can folks, commiserations with those struggling...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11
