Attaching furniture to walls

I grew up in the fifties, and my dad tied furniture to the walls with brass hooks and eyes. And we did the same when our children were small.

I've got a 5 and 2 year old, my general rule is "if it CAN fall forward in any config (draws out, pulling on the top etc) I'll take the extra 5 minutes to fix it to the wall. You're literally talking 5 minutes work and potentially saving a devastating, life changing incident. Might not matter much if youve got no kids, but do you have grandkids? cousins? friends etc? For the sake of 5 minutes, a "free" anchor and a 60 second fix to fill the hole if/when you move, why not just stick it in?2
