I had to buy milk today and while in M*rks spotted some useful y/s bargains so ended up spending £17.97 on 4x milk, 2 x y/s mushrooms, 3 x posh salads as my favourites have suddenly reappeared on the shelves, 3x y/s sprout mixture, 3x radishes, 4x pointed peppers and some san marzano tomatoes for a special recipe.
That makes my new total £94.23/£120 and my average daily spend £3.76.

Meal plan is to make a hasselback butternut squash using up the feta that's in the fridge, roast mushrooms with chilli oil and butterbeans, soup to use up the swede in the fridge, ginger cabbage stir fry and spicy yoghurt black-eyed beans all with either basmati rice or mograbieh and veg from the freezer or salad.

Back from a few days at my daughters in Brighton, had a fabulous time and the scales are groaning, such a foodie place.
Catching up on the posts, saved the caponata recipe @Greying_Pilgrim, I love it, it`s so versatile to add extra veggies to recipes, not sure how my budget is faring this month as also visited my friend in Norfolk beginning of the month, I am seriously considering another greyhound as I need something to make me more active, which is why I got my visits in as not fair on any animal to leave it. Will keep updated.
Do I need it or just want it.

I did two shops over the weekend, bringing me up over £100 so far this month.  Basics in Morrisons then a trip to an Asian wholesaler for gyoza and dumplings for noodle soups. Also a large jar of crispy chilli oil - one of those ingredients that make everything better :)

I've reduced my budget for next month too - the discipline of checking my shopping is making me spend less on household and grocery stuff than I used to, so I can bring the target down!

Nothing to declare but I think I need some fruit and veggies, so will be going to the hub tomorrow as its the only day this week I'm anywhere near it.
I'm also running out of a few cleaning bits, before the first  lockdown happened I sold my little caravan that was on a seasonal site and emptied it of all food and cleaning bits, well the food disappeared a long time ago but I didn't realise how much cleaning stuff I had there so haven't had to buy any for the last couple of years.

Had a shopping delivery today which came to £87.50 and I'm glad to have plenty to cook with again. Since we got back from our travels over Easter I've been using up the stuff left in the fridge that was long-lasting and kept while we were away so we've had a lot of cabbage and carrots. It's nice to have a bit more variety to use up now!

£170.65/£200 spent but will need some bits and bobs at the end of the week as we have some family coming to stay at the weekend. Just need to plan what I'm going to feed them now....

Another wrong milkman delivery..*sigh*.  Apparently I don't pay for milk anymore though... another £2.94 refund which brings me to spend of £276.11 / £300.
