Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot - forecast is for a decent day - we'll see. I have wash load ready to peg out on the line, got a load line dried yesterday.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, chips, beans, veg and/or rice. Tonight we have the hairdresser coming over so will be a later meal.
Yesterday work wasn't too bad, we'll see about today, although I had one person who I think will appear today and I've been told we can't do anything. We'll see how that goes.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope you have a good day at work.
Dry again this morning but we have rain forecast for later in the day, first for about 2 weeks. I put washing out when I got home yesterday and it was almost dry when I brought it in. Also painted the part of the fence that will be behind the greenhouse, I may never be able to do that bit again. Cut the grass, it still looks like a ploughed field and is full of lumps and bumps.
Hope all the poorlies are recovering, don't do too much Coxy. We all have laptops at home now and are expected to do some work even if we are ill.
Hope you had a good weekend Ruby.
Hugs to you Nelski, it's a lot to deal with.
Well done on the sale Florence.
Take care. XX12 -
Morning all
Back from our weekend away which was lovely a really nice place to stay and the weather was so warm we were in t-shirts most of the time, it was really relaxing although we crammed so much in, it was good to do something different and clear our heads a bit.
No news on the funeral yet his mum cannot make her mind up about what she wants, it mush be so difficult for her.
Ive not read for a few days so I have no idea whats going on so I will just send hugs to those that need them, and I will have a read back tonight.
Have good days all xxx12 -

I may well return to slothfulness 🤣 for a wee while.Thoughts to all our poorlies. Happy Tuesday to all.14 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another gloomy start here although rain isn't forecast until tonight. I must still be running on pre-clock change time as I didn't want to get up this morning.
I am meeting DFF as usual this morning for coffee and lunch but she has her appointment at the Breast Clinic this afternoon for the biopsy result and her treatment plan so it will be a slightly shorter meet than usual. She said she would rather meet than sit at home dwelling on what they are going to tell her. They had a big family holiday planned for Easter but obviously that's now off, though she has insisted the others all still go even though they won't feel like it I'm sure.
I didn't get a lot done after all yesterday, I get worse. Although I did make a big tub of lentil soup to keep me going for the coming days. I have been making tomato and basil for the last few weeks but went back to my old favourite yesterday.
RUBY so pleased you had a nice break, you certainly needed some away time to gather your thoughts as there will be some tough times ahead I'm sure. I remember a lovely jewellery shop on the waterside in Poole, I wonder if it's still there? I think it was called Seashore Jewellery. They sold some really pretty things.
Have a lovely day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all the poorlies, poorly loved ones and those recovering from Covid. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone and thanks for the start nmlc.
Shame about the wheelchair dp1
Hope your DIL is doing okay poppy
Good to hear from you Nelski – don’t worry about offloading to us lot, we can take it. I hope you can get some help for your Mum and so sorry you’re struggling. Is your brother doing anything to help?
Glad you enjoyed the tour TA. All good wishes to your friend for today.
JackieO – sorry to hear your DD has succumbed to the ‘rona, but inevitable I suppose. Hope her symptoms aren’t too bad.
Izzy – are you sure it’s not Covid? Take it easy.
Snoozer – hope Steve’s appointment goes well today.
Ruby – welcome back, glad you had a good break.
I managed a full day at work yesterday but made sure I took lots of breaks! Spoke to boss first thing and she said not to push myself, so I didn’t. Very frustrating that I can’t go out anywhere, but grateful to have a garden to be able to sit and throw the ball for the pup. He went home last night as his mummy now has Covid so can’t go into the office.
Have been stood down from secretariat duties today, which I’m pleased about as it’s a high-profile piece of work and not sure I’m fully on the ball.
We are having sweet chilli chicken thighs for dinner, which I will marinade this afternoon. LO mackerel and salad for lunch (not that I will taste it….)
Welcome to LateNightHunter 😊
Have a good day everyone

Hi everyone,
Interestingly Steve was tested for about twenty upper respiratory tract viruses as well as covid and he came back positive for a coronavirus first identified in Hong Kong in the early 2000's. They qualified it by putting (not Covid) by it, so there are some other nasty things going around as well.
Anyway he is feeling better because he's gone golfing, which because he can't drive meant me taking him, luckily it's only a 10 minute drive to the club. We are going to make our usual visit to Laura's after Steve's appointment so we'll be away tomorrow.
The rest of the day will be taken up making two soups (flashback to Victoria Wood and Julie Walters) a leek and potato and a roasted cauliflower and garlic which I've never made before so fingers crossed it tastes ok. Oh, I'll also make some shortbread biscuits for Esben.
Have a good day.

Morning everyone
Very foggy here again this morning, as it was most of yesterday.
Going to have a quiet morning pottering about ...have my chest Xray later, not till 4.30.
Will go into town a bit earlier as I need some birthday cards.
Gers/Coxy - dad still has his 'old' electric wheelchair which he controls himself. He can manage to steer it down the ramp out to the front of the house, but no further. It's sad but at least he can still get out into the sunshine, when we have it! I ordered him yet another pair of wireless headphones - he usually breaks them - yesterday so he can listen to his audio books outside.
I had a nice chat with eldest DD last night - she's off to London on Sunday for a few days, for work.
Well I'll wish you all a good day. Take care x11 -
Morning all, thanks for starting nmlcGlad you had a lovely break RRSnoozer,I didn't realise they tested for all those viruses Glad he's feeling betterI'm going out for an unexpected lunch later with a friend who is picking me up, she can be quite an erratic driver & has poor mobility too so am always glad when we get there.Got what I needed from town yesterday , had a fair walk to another bus route as ours didn't come , I asked the driver on the return journey & they are still not coming up our end due to engineering works. I saw a bus on Sunday and thought they were back but must be because the big trucks aren't working at weekends. Ah well it'll increase my exercise but I just won't be able to carry much on the way back.We had the remains of the pork yesterday, disguised for DH by cutting it up into strips and using a different sauce. Chicken breast ( breaded ) for them tonight, I may just finish off the last Scotch egg I made after my lunch out.Hope it's a good day for you all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
