Garden wall

My neighbour extended the wall dividing our gardens. To avoid drilling a hole in the wall, I'd like to use no more nails to stick a small hook to my side of their wall in order to hang some outdoor LED light string. Can I do this?

Assuming it's their wall - ie fully on their side of the boundary line - then this should only be done with permission.
Will it harm the wall? No. Will the neighbour see it? I don't know...

Was it up to them to extend? Is it their responsibility to maintain that boundary?

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

What is the wall made of?
If it was my wall I'd probably rather you put in a small hole and a hook rather than use something like no more nails as you will need to stick on a bit of wood or similar that is larger than the hook.

Either speak to your neighbour or put up a post parallel to the wall and fix the  light stringto that if the obvious course of action is unlikely to get a result.

The wall is breeze block and replaces a garage which the neighbour had demolished. There won't be any damage done, hence my idea to use something like no more nails, and they certainly wouldn't see anything from their side.
I believe the wall is right on the boundary.

It will not cause any harm at all. None.
The only issue is if the neighbour is a twit. And finds out.
