Barratt Homes plans

Daughter has 14yr old Barratt house that now has a leak in a waste pipe from the bathroom / en-suite, that is coming down the studded wall internally. The problem is all the pipes are integral to the build, nothing is accessible, this is a LATENT DEFECT so they should have some responsibility, either it is poor workmanship or poor quality materials which only shows up after a number or years.
I contacted Barratt to get the layout of the pipework so that the leak can be investigated without having to rip out fitted units out or take floors up, they WOULD NOT help or supply the information requested.
I don't want full plans just the pipework over the kitchen, what possible reason can there be for not helping???
