New car and London congestion charge
Hi all. Not sure if there his anyway to find out without trying to contact TFL direct but thought I'd ask on here.
Picking up brand new car on Friday morning. Will be given registration on Wednesday. Concerned about London congestion charge. I'm not sure how long it takes for new car registrations to appear online. Would be much easier to drive into London rather than train. Talking through experience.
Anyone have experience of this?

Sorry, posted too soon
Anyone have experience of this situation or know how long before registrations are recognised?

What’s your question, is it an EV or ice car.
If ice car just pay online.
If EV you will need a logbook first and £10 a year to register it.0 -
Hi Bigwheels1111, my concern was that the registration wouldn't be recognised by the TFL website if the DVLA website wasn't showing it. It's ICE but that's not really relevant to my issue.
I've since received the registration and I can 'mark' it as a new car so think I'm sorted.
One issue was that the dealership made a mistake and the first registration they gave me was recognised....as a Ford Transit

I had an issue when I registered my car as disabled tax class.BillyT57 said:Hi Bigwheels1111, my concern was that the registration wouldn't be recognised by the TFL website if the DVLA website wasn't showing it. It's ICE but that's not really relevant to my issue.

I used the dartford crossing 10 weeks later and got fined in the post. Free for disabled class vehicles.
I called to complain and was told it’s my fault that they don’t update their records for 3 months.
I said see you in court.
I filled an online appeal, picture of logbook.
30 miles later case dropped.
