Alternatives for 3 in France?

As the title says myself and my bf will be in France for a few weeks this summer, I pay for both our 3 pay monthly rolling contracts (20gig and 10gig) however with the £2 a day charge the cost would be huge for us to use our phones for the usual (I use mine as a sat nav/maps/gathering information etc) also I need to be contactable the whole time so going on flight mode is not an option.
any advice as to alternative sim companies I could use for just over two weeks? I'm so used to 3's free roaming as ive had a sim only contract with them for years. Feel a bit lost!

There are plenty of providers who still offer EU roaming as part of their standard contract.
I would start with ID mobile who offer monthly contracts at a competitive price which includes EU roaming and use the Three network.
Also ASDA mobile who run on Vodafone and Lebara who always have cheap introductory offers both on a monthly basis. I'm sure others will respond with plenty more.

O2 & it's MVNOs (Giffgaff, Tesco Mobile etc.) are currently keeping free roaming in Europe.
Also, 3s PAYG sims are not ( although it probably will come at some time ) subject to the £2 day charge for roaming.1 -
Also Voxi.

We have bought cheap SIMs from LeClerc supermarket to use in France for French phone numbers, lasts a month without top up. There used to be one with EU coverage that was cheap but not sure if it is still available after Brexit.
