This made me laugh. Worst company I have ever worked forMobile Patrol Officer (Former Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 9 December 2018Indeed featured reviewThe most useful review selected by IndeedBunch of money grabbing baste*ds, all they care about is money. No support from management working with what you've got, set targets on a daily basis if you don't meet targets then followed up by disciplinary action, constant pressure from up and above you don't have a say in anything your opinion does not matter bad attitude, complete company paperwork in your own time, take vehicle for repairs/maintenance in your own time, must answer your phone on your days off or out of work hours otherwise you get constant abuse from head office. parked on car park one day with my personal vehicle to come to work as I out of the whole team had to bring my own vehicle to work as others had the privilege to have work vehicles. I was issued with a PCN and ordered to pay £60 which I contested and got rejected, took up with management but ended up in small claims court and now have to pay £262. Racist management. Promoted to supervisor and then demoted after 8 months without any valid explanation, was told we have new supervisor who has more experience than you. Dismissed for gross misconduct for failing to pay and display at their car park while on duty complete joke. Stay clear unless you're really desperate.ProsNoneConsPoor people's skills

According to a number of ex employees on Indeed they have to get a minimum of eight PCN's per day. Excel have disputed this however there are several posters stating that is their target. This is all in the public domain.D_P_Dance said:Sounds like Amazon
I wonder who controls the staff car park? It's a bit much taking your employee to court for parking on the staff car park. I guess they know how it feels to get an unfair PCN.

As far as i know, anything done in "own time" is Work time, and if the pay is at minimum wage there could be issues here, as they will be paying below National minimum wage , and if the pay is just above NMW then work done in "own time" could bring this below that level.Likewise if directed to use a car park by the employer and then getting a Parking charge notice as a result, then dealing with it is work time and not own time and any associated costs are work expenses .If this former employee ( or any current ones in a similar situation ) reads this, go for the bar stewards it wont be the first time a PPC has faced action from a former employee - one case was even featured on TV involving a PPC based in a grubby porta cabin behind a pubFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I was reading a bunch of those reviews on various parking firms whilst I was investigating into the world of PPCs when building my defence/ WS.
I remember reading one for Excel where the employee said he was expected to pay for a P&D ticket out of his own pocket when attending Excel carparks to carry out enforcement patrols because "nobody parks for free" and there are plenty of free spaces elsewhere! It was probably Excel pursuing their own employee in one of their own vehicles! Its like a victorian workhouse!5 -

The likes of EXCEL/VCS are on the rocky road to the bottom.
Their future is half price parking tickets, a ban on fake charges, but what will hit them hard will be the new appeals service as no longer can they reply on the scam IPC
They have run out of legals who are stupid enough to support them and go on to cost them money ?.... the latest joke being the legal who cost them £1000
The only thing I agree with the BPA is that the new code of practice will mean many of these parking companies will go bust. They will go bust out of stupidity and greed or be denied access to the DVLA

What happens on the day when abso-bloomin-lutely no one parks incorrectly, buys and displays ticket/permit and doesn't overstay! The measure is wrong; it should be issuing 8 PCNs per day to drivers/cars that broke the rules!Snakes_Belly said:

They probably have high turnover to keep costs low as they bill staff for uniform etc and swindle them out of pay/ commission etc. Anyone who stays there is no doubt stuck and works under a culture of fear- and they probably encourage/ scare workers to work in their own time to proactively hit their illegal targets. Lots of the people who work for them are probably desperate and can't get employment elsewhere due to immigration status, low IQ, poor education/ no qualifications, previous criminal records including predatory offence. It seems PPCs are one of the few employment options they can get so get exploited it seems.Le_Kirk said:

I can understand that employees don't get a parking space if they work in a large town or city centre but on an industrial estate you would expect free parking. There seems to be deductions in salary for all kinds of things. No one seems to pick up the same wage each payday.
This is a company with a huge staff turnover as 95Rollers says probably people who are struggling to find work and have to take what they can.
This makes me realise how lucky I was.
