Buyer wants me to post to different address

Listed an item in this offer period. Buyer has bought and paid for it. Straight away she messaged me to send to a different address which is not on the ebay order.
What is my best option? Is it too late to change and enter her new delivery address? Do I refund her and ask her to change and buy it back? Will the item still be deemed to be sold in the offer?
I do want to sell it to her as we have been communicating for the last few days re which item she wants and sizes, price etc.

Have you asked her why - has she just moved or is it a bulky package so she wants it delivered to a friend or family member's address so they can take delivery during the day as she is at work so isn't at home. It may be as uninteresting as that.
Of course why didn't she specify a different delivery vs billing address on her ebay account.
Have you asked her?
And is this valuable - if its a £5 product why stress. If its £150 then I can understand your issues.
In the end you have her messages as evidence communicated I assume via ebay - so once you are satisfied dispatch it as she requires!1 -
Yes she is in the process of moving. Wants to post to family.0

If you send all your messages to the buyer via eBay (and hopefully she's doing the same) then if anything goes wrong, you will both be 100% guaranteed.
If you don't do things through eBay, - well, that way disaster lies.
The reason your buyer has given sounds plausible but then again, con artists do sound plausible. And bear in mind, it might not even be a woman you're corresponding with.
You could even contact eBay and ask for help and advice if you are uncertain - just click on 'help and contact' at the top of your eBay account page.
As Rich2808 says, if it's only a small amount there's no need to stress but if it's a more valuable item, then yes, do stress! Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Don't post to different address other than that on the order details/transaction page.
Offer to either send to the address they gave or cancel, refund and relist with them amending the delivery address during checkout with something like the below:Thank you for your message and recent order, unfortunately due to eBay requirements I can only post to the address provided during Checkout I'm afraid.
I'd of course be happy to post to the address on the order or it's no trouble to cancel for a full refund and a new order with the new address added is more than welcome (eBay now allow the address to be amended during Checkout, either as a one off gift address or as a new default address, on the page with the Pay button)?
Thank you in advance and if you have any other questions at all please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Best regards

As Rich2808 says, if it's only a small amount there's no need to stress but if it's a more valuable item, then yes, do stress!Incorrect. The seller is only protected if the item is sent to the address shown in the checkoutWhen a buyer opens a payment dispute because they didn't receive the item or they don't recognize the transaction, sellers will be asked to provide:- Evidence of successful delivery to the address provided by the buyer at checkout,

I refused to send an item to a different address as the buyer said he was moving and cancelled his order explaining very politely why I had done it and suggested I would relist for him when he had changed his address and give him all the details. He gave me rottten feedback and ebay refused to do anything about it. Yet in their T &C s they say you should only post to the given address. I was not pleased.

OP , it might well be genuine but if you send to a different address you will give up seller protection, however in the case of non receipt you would still be covered for loss by Royal Mail with a POP. However what youwould not be covered for is a claim for fraudulent use of a card .
I’d explain it politely to buyer that either you ship to address originally given or else you will have to cancel and relist , there are offers on at the moment if you wanted to relist under an offer , just make sure buyer knows they must change their address before they pay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thank you. I have been in touch with the buyer and explained. Just waiting to hear from her now.0
