in Credit cards
Like many people my Post Office credit card was changed to JaJa. I have been generally unhappy with them since. The App is poor and prior to a long trip overseas I rang to ask if my credit limit could be raised (it was quite low) as I intended to use the card extensively. I have an excellent credit rating so this should not have been an issue. This could not be done on the App or website. I was told on the phone that this was not possible and I to to be “invited” to increase it by them via a letter. Luckily our spending didn’t quite reach the £5000 limit already set. I am going to cancel the card and take out another. I’ve seen several recommendations on this site. Has anyone else had this issue trying to increase their credit limit? Have you anything to add from personal experience regarding which card is best? Thankyou.

Use an eligibility checker to see what you might be accepted for. Lenders will assess you, not on your credit rating, but on your credit risk.
Most mainstream cards will give reasonable limits, but only if your risk level is appropriate.
Don't cancel your JaJa card yet, if your credit history is patchy.0 -

Each financial institution has its own method for approving credit increases. The fact you have an "excellent credit rating" doesn't really come into it.0
